The Community Council of Kato Lefkara has as its basic goal the conversion of the village into a picturesque but modern and humane community, which will be able to offer to its inhabitants all the comforts offered by modern, European communities. In order to materialize the above goal it has already completed several infrastructure and beautification projects.

Some of these projects are:

1. Renovation and maintenance of the old “grape-machine”. This machine was used in old times for the making of wine.
2. Repair and maintenance of the old Elementary School, which is located in the yard of the “Panagia Eleousa” church, for the purpose of converting it into a Museum of Needlecraft.
3. All the roads of the community have been covered with flagging and the Central Plaza has been stone-paved.
4. Parking lots and public restrooms had been constructed in the community’s plaza for the accommodation of both foreign and local visitors.

The Community Council has already scheduled several new projects, which will aid the development of the community. Some of these projects are:

1. Repair and maintenance of the old Elementary School that is located next to the country church of Saint Timotheos and its conversion into communal building, which will include the offices of the Community Council as well as conference hall.
2. A new building is already under construction in that same area, which will be used as a multi-purpose Cultural Center.
3. Renovation and maintenance of the old, underground water-reservoir.
